The historic value of men as intentionally designed by God to the world is such that on the authority of His Word I have declared it along with guilty professed Christians and churches following suit as foolish for marginalizing them! Truly, nowhere is this foolishness more plainly seen than in the sinful re-defining of men in their roles and responsibilities as husbands and fathers in the divinely ordained, foundational family unit. In marginalizing and re-defining men as I write in my book, The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics, the world is sowing the seeds of its own destruction as in the mix of negative consequences, families--the basic building blocks of societies--are being devastated.1
The value of men to families in their God designed temporary (due to death) roles and responsibilities as husbands and fathers in this present age are absolutely critical to their creation, effective functioning and wellbeing. The first man had God bring him the first woman and his wife (Genesis 2:18-23). After this, in God’s perfect will a man has typically taken the initiative to leave out from his parent’s household to find a wife, unite to her in marriage and create a new household (Genesis 2:24). Men alone have been equipped by God in their bodies with the seed necessary to initiate new human life and follow the first man in doing so with his wife (Genesis 4:1-2, 25-5:5).
By God’s express design, order and purposes of mankind men are His elect heads of their families. This is shown by Adam being created first, the command God gave Eve after she sinned in usurping her husband’s headship and His rebuke of Adam for following his wife’s lead while judging him (Genesis 2:7, 3:1-6, 16-17; 1 Timothy 2:12-14). The authority and responsibilities of headship in the family have been exercised with only occasional historic challenge until these latter days of all out rebellion against it (Esther 1; Psalm 2:1-3)! Even many Christians seek to dilute the headship God has given men not believing abusers will give an account to Christ, their Head (1 Corinthians 11:3).
In God’s design of the human family reflecting His own, the effective functioning of it requires the leadership and management of a chief authority. In the God Family where all three Persons that have eternally made it up are equally God, nevertheless, the Chief Authority is the Father (Luke 3:21-22; John 3:35, 10:30-33, 14:7-28). So, in the human family while each person of the unit is equal in person, the husband and father has been assigned chief ruling authority as the head by God! And though the family rule of men corrupted by sin has been less than perfect, nowhere in Scripture does God diminish or revoke their chief authority assignment.
Indeed, the divine expectation of the family rule and stewardship of men is maintained by speaking of them first in the fifth of the Ten Commandments and addressing them as the first audience throughout the pages of Scripture (Exodus 20:12; Acts 1:15-16; 1 Corinthians 10:1)! The chief ruling experience of men in their families has also been transferrable and beneficial to human social units beyond it to include the Lord’s Church on earth (Exodus 18:13-27; Acts 15:1-22). Besides ruling authority, God expects men to give visionary leadership to their families ideally listening to Him for the best outcomes (Genesis 11:27-12:9; Matthew 1:18-25).
God has assigned men three other equally important roles and responsibilities He holds them accountable for. Men have the lead role and responsibility for teaching their families by precept and example (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4). So influential is a man as the lead teacher, his family is instructed even by his failure to teach because they watch him! Men are most known historically for and relied on as material providers for their families as another important role and responsibility (1 Timothy 5:8). Finally, men are also assigned by God to protect their families from spiritual and physical harm though they are most known for their physical protection (Proverbs 6:20-35; Matthew 2:1-18). The value of men to families in God’s design, order and purposes for mankind is truly great!
However, rejecting God’s design, order and purposes of mankind by marginalizing and re-defining men to fit a rebellious, feminist worldview is not fixing anything, but confusing everything! For example, many sinful men now passively, routinely and irresponsibly allow their wives to be the chief authority, visionary leader, teacher, provider and protector in the family if there is marriage at all. Divorce is common because unless the man does submit to his wife, there is no chief authority, harmony or coherent family vision as each selfishly does as they please. Fatherlessness is rampant as irresponsible men create children, but have no widely accepted moral imperative to father them except by the payment of child support. Anarchy is already underway; social collapse follows!
(Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers reading this.)
1 The Lord leads me to deal frankly with the world’s confused, 21st century frontal attack on His design of men and the irreparable (in some cases) damage being done to families until the restoration of all things at His coming in chapter two of the book aptly titled, What Is A Man? The book is on sale in the Strong Man Store digitally as an E-Book in two formats and special for Father’s Day, the print Soft Cover Edition with free shipping though June 20th.
Critical to a human family as God designed it in perfection is a devoted wife and mother. For while a man as the head of the family importantly initiates, gives visionary leadership and overall governance to it, a devoted wife and mother provides bonding love to all and excellent management skills that keeps it running smoothly. Regardless of family size, her job is incredibly challenging and requires all that God has designed a woman to be naturally and because of sin, supernaturally in nature, character and demeanor to pull off successfully! Therefore, being a devoted wife and mother as a woman is not something inferior or trivial, but very significant and precious to her family.
The struggle many women of child bearing age have today balancing education and career aspirations with the demands of being fully devoted wives and mothers is taking a devastating toll on them and their families. From personal mental and physical health issues to the multifaceted drama of marital strife often leading to divorce and traumatized children, many affected 21st century women attempting to live out 20th century feminism’s narcissistic ideal to “have it all” are suffering greatly. In the process, virtually gone are the days women as devoted wives and mothers joyfully gave themselves in self-denying, sacrificial service to their husbands and children and were still fulfilled.
From the 18th century industrial age women have been pressing their way into male dominated workplaces. While the Woman’s Suffrage Movement sought to politically enfranchise them in the 19th century, by the middle of the 20th century, feminist descendants expanded their objectives to include the right to be free from the ancient biblical, Judeo-Christian expectation of marriage and family. As I wrote in a previous Mother’s Day post, Betty Friedan is generally credited with voicing the rallying cry for “Women’s Liberation” from what she and others she surveyed felt were the mundane and dissatisfying tasks of just being wives and mothers especially for those that had been educated.1 2
Since Friedan in the mid-sixties, feminism has urged women to pursue their dreams in all fields of endeavor and to do so without guilt concerning marriage, family and their own biological clocks to find the significance and fulfillment they equally deserved with men. But there yet remains stubborn resistance by the large number of struggling women to an all out abandonment of marriage and family as a valid avenue of female experience. Indeed, among them are many professed women of faith who like others still wanting marriage and family as devoted wives and mothers in accord historically with God’s design for them, struggle too, because they cling to Satan’s lie in feminism.
For a generation women have heard the lie that they should not be satisfied and in related evil, envious and resentful toward men in authority. However, faithful contemporary women of faith find themselves in a long line of sisters that begins in the Bible who were well adjusted, satisfied and fulfilled as devoted wives and mothers of significance and blessing to their families. These women receive satisfaction from their God designed roles and praise from their families because they start not in narcissism with themselves, but Him as the woman of Proverbs 31:30. Interestingly, it is a mother’s instruction to her son that reveals why such women are relatively few (Proverbs 31:1-3, 10).
A woman that knows and fears God loves and is devoted to Him first! In that devotion, she is joyfully eager and willing in all submission to embrace the roles and responsibilities He has assigned in order to please Him and do His will. As a result, with His guiding wisdom and strength, this great woman of God purposefully commits her life to being the best possible wife to her husband and he knows it (Proverbs 31:11-12).3 With his trust, encouragement and support because he and the whole family also benefit, she works in and outside of the home using her God given talents to operate businesses without neglecting her family (Proverbs 31:13-24). Because she knows the Lord, she is a woman of compassion, strength, dignity, wisdom, kindness and diligence (Proverbs 31:25-27).
Amazingly, because her significance is tied to her God’s love, acceptance and approval, the great woman of God is completely satisfied with her life. She also truly has it all since she uses every fiber of her being, knowledge, talents and skills to serve the purposes of God in her roles and responsibilities as a devoted wife and mother. Blessed, her family rises up to “call her blessed;” her husband “praises her” as does the watching community (Proverbs 31:28-31; NKJV). Foolish is the man that would oppress such a wife; treasure her, she is from God!4 My sisters that are guilty: repent from buying into the lie of feminism; put God first then your husband and children (Psalms 37:3-4, 111:10; Isaiah 55:1-3). The risen, living Christ continues His cry among American churches, "Who is on the Lord's side?"

4 My grandmother, Eunice Campbell, featured on the Great Woman Of God Mothers CD cover worked nearly all of her sixty-six year life as have most black women from
slavery, including her daughter, my mother, Bettie Kelley and my wife, Mary, when our children were in the home. Momma as an aspiring great woman of God main-
tained an excellent Christian witness to her nominally professing Christian husband and family. While being an excellent wife, mother, homemaker and working full-
time as a Civil Service Food Service Worker with AAFES at the Fort Ord Army Base, she still went to mid-week and Sunday church services. She only took my siblings
and me to church as children on many Sundays where we were exposed to Christianity. Momma was overjoyed later when as a young adult, I came to Christ and gave
her a preview of my exercising the gift of preaching as a babe before her departure. We called her blessed while she was with us; I declare her so again in sweet mem-
ory of her this Mother’s Day! The Great Woman of God Mothers CD is available in the Strong Man Store.
Jesus, Son of Man came to the earth preaching the good news the time of the foretold “Kingdom of God” had arrived and that hearers should “repent and believe” His message. Then, without apology or point by point explanation through theological treatise, He did something remarkable today. He went purposely seeking fishermen He had previously met and commanded them: ‘“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men,’” (Mark 1:14-20, NKJV). Why did He make men a priority? Not because of humanly invented Jewish culture, sexism or any other reason originating with fallen man, but God, the design of His creature, order and purposes of mankind!1
In this 17th year of the 21st century, I continue to write as the Lord has led to instruct, appeal to and warn the churches now rebelling with the world against His design, order and purposes of mankind and undergoing judgment as a result, to repent! For though the Lord Jesus knowing the future later had His apostles explain about God’s design of man, His order and purposes of mankind to mostly ignorant Gentiles, no such explanation was necessary for 1st century Jews who honored the Scriptures and knew men are God’s chosen leaders in the home, larger community and nation. They were not ashamed to be the descendants of patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob either!
For them, it was no random event that caused the first human creature to be a man. He came to be as the purposeful, creative act of God! The fact this truth offends many women and their sympathizers as feminists today is not a product of enlightened progress, but rejection of God and His Word inspired by Satan working deceitfully as he did in the Garden (Genesis 3:1-6). The value of men as intentionally designed by God is being lost to a world and churches pandering after it that now foolishly marginalize them. This blog, then, is the introduction of a series of four entitled, The Value Of Men I write in furtherance of God’s cause to target and restore them as did Jesus, Son of Man.
The value of something speaks of its worth and importance. The value of man is fully shown by God when from eternity, before creation, a plan was put in place to save His creature from the just consequence of foreknown, willful disobedience (1 Peter 1:13-21)! Though He made man male and female, God created the male first as the founding embodiment of the race and brought forth the female from him for him to fulfill His purposes for them (1 Corinthians 11:7-9). As I write in my book, The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics, God also made a very clear statement about His creature, will and the ruling order of mankind by creating Adam, the male first (Genesis 2:7; 1 Timothy 2:11-13)!2
Indeed, the value of man to God as eternal sons and rulers in the divine image and likeness is declared at his creation (Genesis 1:26-28). Only the first man’s disobedience leading to the penalty of death temporarily delayed fulfillment of his eternal destiny until Christ, the second Adam came to make redemption possible for those of Adam’s seed that would repent and believe on Him! In the Bible as in my book and three part blog, Jesus, Son Of Man, under the category, The Cause drawn from both, I am led by the Father to exalt His Son as the complete fulfillment of the divine design, eternal purpose and plan for man the creature.
Even so, the mortal body (to include brain function and hormonal make up) of the fallen first man showcased his assignment to govern beginning with the earth and its creatures followed by his wife taken out of him and their children after he initiated their existence (Genesis 2:15, 18-25, 3:20, 4:1). A relative few experienced God’s grace by having a heart to please Him and do His will (Genesis 4:2-10, 6:5-12). And despite regularly judging their sins, under His sovereign oversight God permitted men with natural drive (passion, ambition) and talents divinely bestowed to build great cities, empires, civilizations, roads, walls and monuments, tangibly invent the ideas of their minds from and conquer the earth as well as reach for the stars (Genesis 4:16-22, 6:13-22, 11:1-9)!
While sin had corrupted men and tarnished the perfect divine image and likeness within each, only because of being made in it with a divinely designed body, have they aspired to be and do great things as does their Creator (Genesis 1:31). Compelled by the predominate hormone, testosterone in their bodies, men have begotten progeny in abundance, spread across the earth and risked all to pursue greatness! They have relished solving problems leading to ingenious technological innovation. Their willingness to die for a cause and follow leaders into battle with amazing displays of strength and courage is legendary as is their sacrificial care for a fallen brother. Truly, the historical value of men designed by God to humanity is immense and cannot be overstated!
1 Consider this truth further in two multi-part blogs from early 2017 also under the category, The Cause and entitled, In God’s Revival Men Are Restored and Jesus, Son Of Man.

Let it be absolutely clear as of first importance that the value of women to God is exactly the same for the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God and Man! As the Head of every man immediately under Him in God’s order of mankind and Creator, the Lord Jesus also gives full support to the divinely designed value of women to men and families (Matthew 5:27-32; Mark 10:1-16; 1 Corinthians 11:3). Truly, in condescending to become a Man conceived in His mother’s womb, birthed, nourished and nurtured by her, He has firsthand knowledge and appreciation of the experience of His creatures as well. He was raised as any other Male by Joseph and Mary in a Jewish family (Luke 2:21-24, 39-52).
During His ministry years, women were equally with men the beneficiaries of the messianic preaching, teaching and miracles of the Lord Jesus. Indeed, He modeled for all men the disposition God expects of us toward women as a leader, teacher, provider and protector (Luke 4:31-44, 7:1-17, 36-50). Women were well represented among the throngs that flocked to the Lord; becoming devoted disciples and helpers as major supporters (Luke 8:1-3, 10:38-42; John 12:1-8). However, in accord with His Father’s will in the divine order of mankind, the Lord did not appoint any women to become apostles as I explain in my book, The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics (Luke 6:12-16).1
The intense love and devotion women are historically known for showed toward Jesus even after His crucifixion resulting in them being the first recorded mortals to hear the news and see Him alive from the dead (Luke 23:50-24:10; John 20:11-18). There is no such thing as coincidence for the God I serve with my whole heart! Thus, to make this last post discussing the value of women to Jesus Christ on Pentecost is completely a God thing since I did not plan it this way. On this day nearly 2,000 years ago female followers of the now, ascended Christ, were also assembled with the apostles who by divine will had just picked the male replacement for Judas Iscariot (Acts 1:12-26).
Surely, Mary, the mother of the Lord or other faithful women who had followed Him from the beginning of His ministry would seem to have been prime candidates as well to replace Judas as an apostle. But the Lord did not give any sign whatsoever of a change in men alone being appointed apostles as was given to Peter at a later date concerning him as a Jew interacting with Gentiles (Acts 10:1-29). Nevertheless, when the Holy Spirit arrived as promised by Christ, He came upon all of the firstfruits assembly without discrimination; all spoke in ecstatic praise of the ‘“wonderful works of God’” not having learned, but using the known languages of the Roman Empire (Acts 2:1-13, NKJV)!
Of great significance about the crowd that had gathered to this miraculous occurrence, was the fact it was largely composed of men. This is because the “Feast Of Harvest” or “Weeks” also known as Pentecost was of the three solemn gatherings in the seven holy feast calendar God had expressly commanded that all the men of Israel were to be present (Exodus 23:14-17, 34:22-26; Deuteronomy 16:9-12, 16-17; Acts 2:5, NKJV). When it came time to explain what was going on and preach the Gospel to begin God’s full harvest of souls among the assembly of mostly male prospects, it was Peter that did so, though again, Spirit-filled women were present and could have too (Acts 2:14-41).
Clearly, God was continuing to be consistent with implementing His order of mankind from Adam! Men are His chosen leaders and He did not change this at the onset of the New Testament era.2 3 As a result, from this beginning point at Pentecost with the Lord’s apostles (Acts 2:42) forward in the rest of the New Testament, formally appointed leaders, elders and pastors in the churches were all men. The ministry of deacons as formal helpers to leadership was made up of men in any oversight of church run operational or ministry activities, while in no shocker, women in their role as helpers served with their husbands to help them. Married or single, some women engaged in personal service and help ministries to church members and leaders (Acts 9:36-43; Romans 16:1-2).
The Holy Spirit was not confused nor should we be walking in Him! For when He fell on that first assembly at Pentecost without discrimination to give new birth to each disciple of Christ and power to praise God, He also distributed their spiritual gifts knowing the Lord’s will for each and honoring the divine order (1 Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4:7-16). Therefore, just as the Lord used women to prophesy in the Old Testament, none of them including Deborah ever stood before the whole congregation of Israel to do so as Moses or Jeremiah (Exodus 15:20-21; Judges 4:1-14; 2 Kings 22:14-20; Jeremiah 7:1-2; Luke 2:36-38). Neither were women priests or worship leaders. All of this carried over into this New Testament era as the Spirit imparted spiritual gifts to women (Acts 21:8-9)!
The Lord gives women the ability to prophesy, preach, teach or exercise sign gifts according to His will that is always consistent with His eternal Word and standing order of mankind. Prophesy is addressed to individuals He may send the prophetess to or that might seek her out. It might also be combined with the leadership gifts of preaching for proclaiming the Gospel and God’s message or teaching for biblically instructing women and/or children in gatherings small or large. Service gifts supernaturally enhance a woman’s natural abilities to help their husbands and/or the churches serve the Lord’s Kingdom causes. To go beyond the Lord’s will is sin (1 Corinthians 14:33-40)!4 The risen, living Christ continues His cry among American churches, "Who is on the Lord's side?"

I also discuss and elaborate on this issue as the Lord leads in the January 27-February 10, 2017 three-part blog series, Jesus, Son Of Man and in a June 2017 series, The Value of Men To God and Jesus Christ respectively, all under the category, The Cause.
2 As the Lord leads me to contend in an Appendix of my book, all of the deceitful arguments that are presented within the churches to allow women to preach to, teach and take authority over men within them in these latter days are all predicated on God having made a change of some kind in His attitude toward or implementation of the divine order of mankind. This is preposterous not only because the divine order is perfect and beneficial to mankind in this present age, but also because among other very important reasons it now includes Christ as the Second Adam and the Head of man! Read my April 8, 2018 post, The Second Adam Rules And Judges,
under the categories Call To Repent and Bible Prophecy to consider this point further. You can read my November and December 2007 two-part Commentary, When Did God Change? to walk through the major arguments of deceit that have enabled rebellion against the divine order in God’s house.
3 Unless one is willing to call God “sexist” or “unfair” (which some feminists do, though, most are careful to attempt to cloak this blasphemy by directing their accusations to those like me that would have the audacity to hold to God’s Word as it is written), there is no other option but to accept New Testament instruction and example as it
is. Doing so, of course, means feminism that opposes God’s order must be rejected because both approaches to human organization cannot be right at the same time
and are in fact, mutually exclusive. For more on calling God “sexist” or “unfair” read my May 8, 2016 post, God A Sexist?, followed the next week, May 15th with God Unfair?, both under the category, God’s Creatures.

With the awesome help of the Holy Spirit, I have presented a strong (if brief in this limited blog format) case for the value of men to humanity, God in salvation and His Kingdom cause in the Gospel as well as families. As a close to this special blog series on the value of men, I greatly rejoice to declare the selected words and actions of Jesus, Son of Man and Christ about His “brethren” from the Bible. Only here will I mention in a non-apologetic, matter of fact way for those offended because of attempting to see spiritual reality through rebel feminist constructed, egalitarian eyes, that Christ’s regard for men in no way diminishes females since His eternal good end includes them too!
Truly we are taught that spiritual reality and wisdom--to include what God has done, is doing and will yet do in the future--is only understood by those with the “mind of Christ” revealed to us by the Holy Spirit (John14:15-17; 1 Corinthians 2:6-16, NKJV). In revealing the mind of Christ to us, the Holy Spirit fully draws from the Old Testament along with New Testament eyewitness accounts and instruction of the Bible He inspired (John 16:5-15; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:16-21)! As well, the Lord Himself comes near to reveal His mind, teach and direct us as promised (John 14:18-21; Acts 9:10-16, 10:1-16). O, the amazingly incredible, unsearchable and limitless ways of God!
Thus, the mind of Christ toward men is first abundantly seen in the Old Testament when for example, a thousand years before He appears on the earth in mortal form, He speaks through His Jewish royal forefather, David, and declares triumphantly at the end of His suffering and death on the cross: “I will declare Your name to My brethren,” (Psalm 22:1-22a, NKJV). Now, while the Psalm goes on to include expanding groups impacted by His Father’s deliverance (Psalm 22:22b-31), the risen Christ speaks of “My brethren” before all even as He does to the first persons to see Him--women--as He instructs them: “Go and tell My brethren…,” (Matthew 28:9-10; John 20:17, NKJV).
Jesus, Son of Man and Christ seeks out His earthly, Jewish brethren first as God’s fellow elect leaders, apostles and soldiers in the dangerous Kingdom warfare and cause for which He had just suffered and would now send them (John 20:19-23)! They would begin as He did with Jewish men as the first audience and heads of households charged by God to lead and teach them. For Jesus, Son of Man is the Anointed Savior-King of the Jews first, then us Gentiles (Isaiah 49:5-7; Acts 1:6-8, 2:36-39; Romans 1:16). With few exceptions conditioned by evangelistic opportunities, the pattern to reach men first and their households would persist among the Gentiles (Acts 10:17-48, 16:11-34).
The writer of Hebrews gets in on this and writes of the ultimate, eternal end of the Lord’s sufferings as “bringing many sons to glory,” (Hebrews 2:5-10, NKJV). He then speaks of how Christ who has done the work and those that are set apart to God as a result “are all of one;” the reason “He is not ashamed to call them brethren,” (Hebrews 2:11, NKJV). After this, the writer cites Psalm 22:22 and further celebrates this astounding truth by quoting from Isaiah 8:17-18 written 700 years before the Lord’s mortal sojourn; putting Him in the midst of His “brethren” voicing obvious delight in God’s redemptive purposes that brought them forth beginning with those of Israel (Hebrews 2:12-13, NKJV).
Indeed, the restoration cause of Christ in the Gospel goes well beyond saving mankind from sin in this present age as all important as this is as a first step. For Him as God and one of us, it is also about what follows salvation; the divine end game and exceedingly great spiritual reality He prayed for on the way to the cross. The opening up of the God Family to include adopted sons of God the Father and brethren for Christ from among Jews and Gentiles who share in His inheritance of life now through the Holy Spirit by faith (John 17:20-26; Romans 8:12-17; Ephesians 1:1-14, 2:11-22, 3:14-15); the fullness of His inheritance that includes resurrection for most, metamorphosis and immortal glory for all the redeemed at His Second Coming (1 Corinthians 15:20-23, 35-57)!
We know that the present age assembly of His mortal brethren in the generic sense includes women. However, in the future, brethren after the metamorphosis that conforms the bodies of all to Christ’s own immortal body will be used without any qualification (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 John 3:2).1 At last, the value of man to God as eternal sons and rulers in the divine image and likeness as declared at his creation is fulfilled (Genesis 1:26; Revelation 21:7, 22:5c). With His Father, therefore, the value of men to Christ is their redemption as sons, disciples and servants vigorously now engaged with Him in the perilous and risk filled Kingdom cause in the Gospel to restore others; bringing them as brethren with their households into the God Family and an eternal destiny!2

In my April 8, 2018 post, The Second Adam Rules And Judges under the categories Call To Repent and Bible Prophecy, I declared mortal woman has “immeasurable value to God and man!” This post will briefly explore mortal woman’s value to God, while her value to men will be dealt with in the next. In the first place, mortal woman shares equal, eternal soul existence and choice of destiny with her male counterpart.1 As the Lord has had me repeatedly proclaim, He created mortal woman as a companion and helper to man in being a wife and mother. In this mortal age she has no greater purpose in the divine plan and purposes than these two temporary roles and responsibilities.
Indeed, in accord with the divine will, woman took away man’s aloneness both as the sole creature of his kind and one that was purposely designed in the image and likeness of God to enjoy relationship (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:18-25; John 1:1-2, 10:30-39). She was the perfect companion to man because she corresponded to him in every way; having been taken out of him. The intimacy of marital relationship between the man and his wife was designed by God to be of the spirit, soul and body where they could physically join together. It is out of their sexual intimacy that the woman became the man’s greatest tangible help in bringing forth more of their kind in procreation.
In living on purpose to please God and do His will as a wife and mother of faith in all submission to Him, many women throughout history have made themselves great in His sight! 2 As I write in my book, The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics, Eve, for example, may have recovered to be this kind of woman after her initial usurpation of her husband and disobedience.3 There is no record of any other similar acts on her part anywhere in the Bible. However, her submission to her husband’s headship is apparent in offering no objection whatsoever to his giving her a name that fully defined the second of her priority roles and responsibilities (Genesis 3:20).
Eve also willingly gave herself to her husband in sexual intimacy to fulfill becoming a mother many times over even with the divine imposed heightened pain as a penalty for her sin. And after the murder of her second born son, Abel, she with humble and respectful attitude toward God seems to have sought and acknowledged receiving his replacement from Him (Genesis 4:1-8, 25). This quietly submissive, more humble and respectful Eve toward God and her husband is what the Lord wills and blesses in a woman that professes to know Him as seen throughout the Bible and plainly taught by the apostles (Proverbs 19:13, 21:9, 19, 25:24; 1 Timothy 2:8-15; 1 Peter 3:1-6).
Truly, to this hour no man or woman since Eve has come to be on the earth except through the womb of a woman! And with His prophetic utterance to “the serpent” concerning the woman’s “Seed,” God has continuously highlighted this important value of mortal woman to Him (Genesis 3:15, NKJV). For select women in history written about in the Bible, God has also wondrously opened their wombs that had been closed by Him to bring forth men of greatness. For example, in their old ages Sarah conceived with husband, Abraham and gave birth to Isaac, while Elizabeth bore John the Baptist after conceiving with her husband, Zacharias (Genesis 17:1-22, 21:1-7; Luke 1:5-25, 57-66).
However, the Lord did His most amazing miracle through the womb of a woman in causing a virgin, Mary of Nazareth, Israel, to conceive by means of the Holy Spirit’s power alone; bringing forth the promised Seed and second Adam, Jesus Christ, who grew up to victoriously fulfill what was foretold of Him in Eden (Luke 1:26-38, 2:1-24; Galatians 3:26-4:7, Colossians 2:11-15). What should be to no one’s surprise, Mary serves as the perpetual example of the woman God favors in her sexual purity before marriage, humility, respectful demeanor and quiet submission, though, she and Elizabeth cut up good rejoicing together in God (Luke 1:39-56)!4 To such women and lesser, God has shown Himself gracious and a fierce Deliverer (Genesis 21:8-21; Psalm 68:5-6; Luke 8:1-3).
Beyond their wombs, God has also used godly women to carry out His purposes in other ways. For example, the Bible’s Book Of Esther does not give her mother’s name, but it tells us the father of beautiful Hadassah called Esther was Abihail, and that she had been raised by relative, Mordecai, after both her parents died (Esther 2:5-7, 15). In the providence of God, humble and submissive Esther was chosen to be queen by Persian king Ahasuerus after his first queen, Vashti, displaying the spirit of modern day feminism rebelled against him. Not by being demanding, hostile or aggressive, but submissive to God first and then her husband, Esther saved her people from a genocidal plot. The risen, living Christ continues His cry among American churches, "Who is on the Lord's side?"
1 As with men, God has given women the choice of eternal life and immortal glory through repentance and faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ or rejecting it, eternal
separation from Him in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).

4 There is no contradiction here in typically having a quietly submissive demeanor and becoming loud as moved by the Holy Spirit in worshipping God! I am pleased to
be from among a people whose godly women are known for loud worship. This is different from normally being loud-mouthed, pushy and domineering in which Mary
again is the perfect counter in her example as the mother of Jesus after His ascension to glory (Acts 1:12-26).
The moment God brought the new creature from, like and for him to Adam as a wife, the joy was etched all over his face, displayed in any body gestures and fully heard in every syllable of the words that flowed out of his mouth as Scripture records (Genesis 2:21-25)! Thus, it is written: “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord,” (Proverbs 18:22, NKJV). Men throughout history have only come close to Adam’s initial reaction to his new wife when they see their brides for the first time on the wedding day and later during the night, after they disclose their bodies to them in the intimacy of romantic love blessed by God (Song Of Solomon 3:6-5:1).
In the foregoing is found the beginning of the historical value of women to men! For woman was created by God to be man’s intimate companion; taking away his aloneness in lifelong marital relationship as they moved together in the divine wonder of oneness. Corresponding to him, he could transparently share his innermost being with her and her, him. Uniquely above the animals they could together imagine, dream, appreciate and create beauty as well as fellowship with their Creator. Created also to be man’s helper, by God’s design a woman helped most significantly when out of their intimacy children were conceived in her womb, brought forth, nourished and nurtured.1
After this, God intended for a woman to help her husband govern their family by managing the home under his headship (Titus 2:1-5). Most blessed have been the men with godly wives that managed the home well and were willing also to help them bear the weight of seeking God for their family vision and needs through much adversity (Proverbs 12:4, 19:14).2 For the fall of man to Satan, sin and death has made even marriage and family an experience of many sorrows and troubles as the judgment of God presaged (Genesis 3:16-19; Job 14:1-12). Even so, many women of faith in the Bible have been godly helpers par excellence to their husbands, sons, prophets and kings alike.3
With Noah as a 500 year old man of faith certainly was his wife. Though we do not know her name, her deeds of helping support for her husband are everywhere seen in the biblical narrative of their epoch. She bore Noah three sons and no doubt tolerated his long work hours while managing the home when she was not helping him in the task of building the ark God commanded over many years (Genesis 6:9-17). Scripture records no objections on her part whatsoever about Noah building or entering the ark with their sons, their wives and many animals large and small she too had to help with (Genesis 6:18-7:16). Compare Noah’s wife to Lot’s and Job’s (Genesis 19:15-26; Job 1:6-2:9).
Amram in Egyptian bondage sought out a wife from his tribe of Levi and married Jochebed (Exodus 2:1, 6:20). During Pharaoh’s strict edict to his people to kill every Hebrew male born by drowning, Jochebed conceived, bore Moses and out of a mother’s natural love with her husband hid him three months. When she could not hide him any longer, by faith in God she prepared an “ark of bulrushes” and set him adrift among river bank reeds in hope that an Egyptian woman would spare his life. God fulfilled Jochebed’s hope beyond her wildest expectations as her son grew up to be His vessel of deliverance for Israel (Exodus 1:15-3:10; Deuteronomy 34; Hebrews 11:23, NKJV).
Elkanah had two wives--Peninnah who bore him children and Hannah who had not. He dutifully provided for Penninnah and their children, but out of love for Hannah gave her “a double portion” though, “the Lord had closed her womb.” He also comforted Hannah in her grief over not having borne him at least one son in the face of her rival’s many years of taunting. Finally, during the annual worship at Shiloh, Hannah poured her heart out to God for a son. God answered, blessing her to conceive and birth Samuel, who after she weaned, returned him to the Lord as promised. In fulfilled joy she praised God for having given her husband the greatest son of that day; her son, the best possible life as Israel’s last judge, God’s prophet and king maker (1 Samuel 1-2:11, NKJV).
David and his men were on the run from king Saul who wanted to kill his rival. While on the run he did good to fellow Israelites and one in particular named Nabal, whose sheep and shearers came under David’s protection. After asking for provisions and being harshly rebuffed by Nabal, David was on his way to murder him and his household. But Abigail, Nabal’s wife, was told of the matter and quickly sent David provisions. She also came out to meet him and plead for the family. Her godly wisdom as a woman of faith spoken respectfully to the future king stopped him from sinning. He wisely married her after “the Lord struck Nabal and he died,” (1 Samuel 25:1-42, NKJV).4 The risen, living Christ continues His cry among American churches, "Who is on the Lord's side?"
1 As the Lord has led, I wrote in The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics about mortal woman being created to be a companion and helper to her husband as being of
the highest honors. This is because these roles are in the image and likeness of and specifically imitate spiritually God the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the triune
God! He is the intended eternal Companion and Helper to all redeemed souls He brings to new birth (John 1:12-13, 3:1-8, 14:16-17). Therefore, to treat these roles
with contempt is truly arrogant, audacious and high handed sin (Isaiah 45:9-10)! The book is available through all major internet booksellers, by order from your fa-
vorite brick and mortar bookstore and in the Strong Man Store.

3 I call such women “great women of God” in my book. The Strong Man Store now has available the newest Strong Man Of God Audio Resource, Great Woman Of

4 Of all the Old Testament great women of God, Abigail is one of my favorites not only because she was beautiful, godly, humble and submissive, but because she also
possessed the spiritual wisdom an aspiring strong man of God in the image of Christ needs to help him make decisions that please the Lord and fulfill His will! Now,
such a woman is never to usurp or be used by her husband to replace the Holy Spirit as his first in order Companion and Counselor. But after prayer, he should find
his wife also led by the Spirit is in one accord with what the Spirit has counseled. Compare the counsel Abigail gave David with that which Jezebel gave her husband
and the outcomes (1 Kings 21).
