So pervasive now is the generation long open rebellion against God and His Word, the concept of authority is breaking down in our nation with the predictable rise in lawlessness. As the Lord leads me to point out in this edited 2012 Commentary, authority cannot just be eliminated since it originates with the Father and flows out from Him in delegation. In 1 Corinthians 11:3, the apostle Paul declares the divine order for all generations of this mortal age.1 Over nearly forty-one years as a Christian I have heard much teaching and seen enough evidence to conclude that even among professing Christians and their churches God’s order is being cast aside in sync with the world’s rebellion leading to great dysfunction, chaos and ruin especially among families.

Amid the many spiritually adulterous acts of a growing number of male pastors and teachers in the churches today is rejecting the authority God gave men as the ruling heads of their families. This is not being done because some heretofore-unknown passage of Scripture has come to light or Christ Himself has spoken to any from glory. No, in fact, Scripture is willfully corrupted to bring the teaching of churches into line with the rebel thinking and attitudes of this satanically controlled world system (Psalm 2:1-3). And what is the payoff for this corruption? Success of some kind as it has always been (Luke 4:5-8). For these men it is big and/or full churches, money, power and mortal glory.
Many of these compromising pastors and teachers are convinced that the world's redefined view of men, women and the family is superior to what God instructs in His Word. They also apologize for the fact that men were ever portrayed in the Bible as authority figures in any capacity, but especially over women since this is offensive to them. Hypocritical of all and confusing is to declare that men are to lead their families, but not be considered a boss (an authority figure). This teaching works fine for the feminists that fill churches today, but it wickedly assails the Persons and Word of God while doing nothing to help men really understand their responsibilities as rulers. For if being a boss is evil, what of the Father in Heaven, Jesus as Lord and all the bosses in the world?2
In my book, The Strong Man Of God: Back To Basics,3 God is exalted from the Bible as the supreme authority in all of existence (Deuteronomy 4:39, 10:14, 17; Psalm 93:1-2; Isaiah 48:12-13; Daniel 4:1-3, 17). God rules and all other authority is given from God (Romans 13:1)! Within the triunity of God, the Father is Head over His forever family and above all though in concert with divine plans revealed in these last days, He has made the Son, Jesus Christ, Lord (1 Corinthians 8:5-6, 15:20-28; Ephesians 3:14-15, 4:4-6)! Shortly after His bodily resurrection, Christ declared to His awestruck disciples, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth," (Matthew 28:18, NKJV).
We all that love the Lord are waiting for His return to earth in order to rule over it as King! This He will do as the second Adam--the unique God-Man. In so doing, He begins to fulfill the destiny originally given to the first Adam who fell. Adam was to rule over the entire earth in the image and likeness of God and with His delegated authority (Genesis 1:26). In wiring the man physically to rule, God even gave him a deep, commanding voice like His own (Psalm 29:3-4). Under God and with God, a perfect Adam would learn to rule in the excellencies of the nature, character and demeanor of his Creator. However, his willful rebellion corrupted his nature and as history shows, man's ability to rule like God.
Now, Christ has come and shown us the proper way to walk in the delegated authority God has given first to men in this age and eventually all redeemed humanity as we reign with Him in immortal glory for ages to come!4 Indeed, the destiny of born again Christians is to rule with Christ over all the works of God's hands, but not yet (Hebrews 2:5-9). Thus, if men having rule and authority is evil, what is this destiny of doing so with Christ that God has specially prepared for us, His sons (Romans 8:14-25; Revelation 1:3-8, 5:9-10, 20:6)?5 Has God done evil or made a mistake? You are out of your minds that think so condemning yourselves and the women you supposedly care about!
In this present age of mortality, God ordained not only that man should rule the earth, but also orderly multiply and fill it through procreation. Women and marriage are of God's purposeful creation to bring this about (Genesis 1:27-28, 2:18-24). The Father gave order to the marital relationship and men the responsibility to rule over their wives and families in the likeness of His own Headship. This is initially shown by God's deliberate act to create the man first (Genesis 2:7; 1 Timothy 2:12-13). After her evil usurpation and the fall, God directly and clearly instructs the woman she is to be ruled over by her husband in His delegated authority (Genesis 3:16b; Ephesians 5:22-24; 1 Peter 3:1-6).
Let the truth be told. Feminist women hate that men have authority over them from God for the same reason all of us sinners hate authority at all: we are rebels! Yes, sinful men have abused their authority and acted wickedly toward women (and each other) from the fall. However, man's sin does not invalidate God's order and design of men, women, their roles and responsibilities before Him (Romans 13:2). Instead of trashing God and His Word in pandering after women, our compromising pastors and teachers should be seeking men, then teaching both genders respectively how to be strong men and great women of God in the image of Christ! The risen, living Christ continues His cry among American churches, "Who is on the Lord's side?"

2 Amazingly, these same pastors and teachers that would diminish a man’s standing as the boss of his house, will even in some way harm those they consider are
threatening or usurping their tyrannical rule in their churches where ostensibly Jesus is the Boss and they only stewards under Him! Typically though, the Lord
of His Church has no right now or through His written Word say in such churches and is actually only welcome in Name only.

5 For those that insist femininity will be retained intact after the resurrection and metamorphosis to immortal glory consider this. Scripture does not use any feminine
language to describe the future reign and service of the saints. They are described as “kings and priests,” (Revelation 1:6, 5:10, 20:6, NKJV). Females are not
separated out to be called queens and priestesses. There can be only one plausible reason for this: the Holy Spirit led the New Testament writers to speak of fu-
ture reality as it will be in that Day. Thus, the resurrection and metamorphosis to immortal glory is going to be radical for mortal female Christians since Scripture
declares the sons of God in the image of Christ will be kings and priests to Him! Read my two part post, The Body Beautiful beginning May 18, 2014 and other
posts in June and July 2016 addressing immortality under the category, God’s Creatures.
