Now In The Strong Man Store!
In this secularly defined time of 21st century tolerance, the direct and specific statement of Jesus Christ to men He summoned to Himself to make them “fishers of men” is offensive. Being God in the flesh, He had to know this. Yet, He does not alter His words to make them more acceptable for what He knew would be the final rebellious days of this present age. In this four part message series, Author, Robert Kelley, explains why Jesus targets men as a priority! Recorded in January 2007.
Part 1: The Priority Of Men
Jesus Christ made men the priority in His outreach mission to Israel first and foremost because they are God’s chosen leaders in the human family. Though under assault today by rebels against the divine order of mankind, God consistently upholds patriarchy and male headship in His Word!
Part 2: God The Man, Jesus
Rebels against the divine order of mankind in the churches have a major problem in upholding their cause. Jesus Christ came into the world a thoroughly manly Man! As such, He is declared the patriarchal Head of a new race of redeemed humans purchased through His blood.
Part 3: Jesus Sought After Men
While women were among the crowds of first century Israel that were taught and ministered to by Jesus Christ, He specifically reached out to and commanded only men to follow Him. In so doing, He shows consistency with and perfect, intimate knowledge as Creator of His design of men.
Part 4: Jesus Chose Twelve Men
Following His all night talk with the Father, the Lord Jesus called twelve of His male disciples to Himself to equip them with further instruction, mentoring and hands on experience to carry out His apostolic work. Even after failure, the eventual work of His faithful apostles endures forever!
